We seek an enthusiastic and experienced researcher to work on a portfolio of mathematical modelling projects in the field of HIV and STI prevention.

We seek an enthusiastic and experienced researcher to join our team to work on a portfolio of mathematical modelling projects. These projects will be in the field of HIV and STI prevention, with a likely focus on estimating the impact of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) among men who have sex with men (MSM) as well as HIV testing in different HICs and LMICs, such as Benin and the US. The work is partly funded by the Canadian Institute of Health Research, the HIV Prevention Trial Network, and UNITAID.

We are looking for a researcher with a sound background in mathematical modelling, infectious disease epidemiology (especially sexually transmitted infections), statistical analysis and/or meta-analysis, with hands-on experience of conducting analyses to answer important and timely public health questions.

You will join the HIV Prevention Trials Network (HPTN) Modelling Centre (https://hptnmodelling.org/) and the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis (https://www.imperial.ac.uk/mrc-global-infectious-disease-analysis), and will benefit from the extensive infectious disease modelling expertise of their members.

Key duties are as follows:

- To develop, code, debug and calibrate dynamic mathematical models
- To design and conduct large-scale modelling experiments
- To conduct scoping and systematic reviews of the literature as required
- Design and conduct secondary data analysis to inform model development and calibration

Depending on your qualifications and experience, you may be responsible for all stages of a mathematical modelling project from developing / adapting and coding mathematical models, model parameterization and calibration, and model analysis, and/or contribute secondary statistical data analysis, scoping reviews or systematic reviews and meta-analysis to larger collaborative projects.
