We are looking for a Research Assistant to work on flu vaccine modelling, in collaboration with China CDC and Fudan University in Shanghai.
Applications are invited for an epidemiologist and/or infectious disease modeller to join the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). The post-holder will be funded until 31 May 2020 through a research grant from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) in the UK on an interdisciplinary and collaborative project with Public Health England, Fudan University and China CDC to use epidemiological modelling and health economics to inform vaccination policy in China.
The post-holder will be supervised by Dr Marc Baguelin and Professor John Edmunds and will join a highly successful and supportive group with colleagues at LSHTM, Fudan University, China, and other international partners. It is expected that the project will involve a range of complex and original scientific research that requires a high degree of personal motivation.
The successful applicant will have a masters in statistics, mathematical modelling, epidemiology or another relevant discipline with a strong quantitative component.
