Two postdoctoral positions are open to work on modeling and evaluation of covid-19 screening strategies.

Two postdoctoral positions are open to work on modeling and evaluation of covid-19 screening strategies.

The positions will be located respectively at the Centre de Physique Theorique in Marseilles (supervision by Alain Barrat) and at the EPIcx lab in Paris (supervision by Vittoria Colizza), with a close collaboration between the two groups.

The work will take place within the ANR-funded project COSCREEN "Design and evaluation of Covid screening strategies in various contexts based on empirical contact data" that aims at the optimization of Covid screening strategies. It will involve the development of data-driven numerical models of the spread of Covid using high-resolution data, the design, evaluation and optimization of screening and other containment strategies, epidemic data analysis, and the development of new methodologies to couple microscopic simulations with the evolution of the spread at population level.

We are looking for young researchers with expertise in mathematical modelling of diffusion and/or epidemic processes, programming, numerical simulations, network science, network data analysis.
