The first position is part of a Nordic collaboration project financed by NordForsk with Tom Britton, Stockholm University as PI and with Arnoldo Frigessi, Oslo University and Lasse Leskelä, Alto University as co-PI. The main goals of the project are to: increase scientific collaboration on covid-19 within the Nordic countries, to improve modeling aspects, and to make better use of new data streams. In parallel a Post Doc position will also be announced at University of Oslo, and recruitments will also be made at Aalto.

The second position has Tom Britton as PI and is supported by a grant from the Swedish Research Council. The project area is stochastic and statistical modelling of infectious disease outbreaks. It is a wide project, but possible working areas may include stochastic models for contact tracing or statistical investigation of generation times and identifiability issues.
