Position Description:
Positions are available immediately for two postdoctoral fellows at the Center for Communicable Disease Dynamics in the Department of Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, supervised by Professor Marc Lipsitch.
For Position 1, the primary responsibility will be to devise methodological approaches for incorporating pathogen genome sequence data, which probabilistically indicates sources of infection, into the estimation of vaccine efficacy in clinical trials, both individually randomized and cluster-randomized. This project will be collaborative with Dr. William Hanage.

Basic Qualification:
For this position, we seek a person with excellent quantitative skills, including appropriate programming skills in one or more of R, Python, and C++. It will afford opportunities to work on other projects of interest and to collaborate with CCDD students, postdocs and faculty. In addition, because of the subject matter of this position, expertise in biostatistics and/or causal inference, as well as infectious disease dynamic modeling, would be ideal, though strong candidates with only some of that background willing to learn the rest would be considered.
