THREE Senior Infectious Disease Modeller posts to work on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections
We seek to recruit three Senior Infectious Disease Modellers to lead on innovative modelling projects, exploring the dynamics and evaluating the control of antimicrobial resistant (AMR) organisms and healthcare associated infections (HCAI) to inform policy in this high priority area.
Two of the posts will contribute to the 'UK 5-year Action Plan for Antimicrobial Resistance 2019 to 2024', and the third, funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), will be part of the HCAI and AMR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) with the University of Oxford.
The successful candidates will lead research, developing models to gain insight from increasingly rich data to improve our understanding of the epidemiology, control and economic implications of AMR & HCAI, collaborating across institutions and working closely with colleagues in both academia and policy. These three posts provide an ideal opportunity lead infectious disease research to directly inform policy in a high-profile topic.
All three positions are fixed-term until 31-Mar-2025.
Applicants should have strong analytical expertise, with a PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health or similar, alongside extensive relevant research experience.
