The New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network is seeking a post-doctoral researcher.
The New York State Wastewater Surveillance Network is seeking a post-doctoral researcher. The network is scaling wastewater surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 to more than 200 sites across the state, including genetic sequencing.
Potential future directions include poliovirus, and opioid use surveillance. Additionally, the network is conducting pilots of wastewater surveillance for antimicrobial resistance, hepatitis A, influenza A, norovirus, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
The post-doctoral researcher will join a dynamic team of scientists spanning a breadth of disciplines including epidemiology, microbiology, bioinformatics, and chemistry.
We seek researchers interested in wastewater-based epidemiology, and experience in population-level modeling is preferred. We have an exciting initiative related to human movement as well.
We will consider all aspects related to wastewater-based epidemiology.
Much of the team is remote and we will fully consider remote candidates, however, not all geographical areas within the United States are eligible.
