Senior Research Associate in Biostatistics
We are seeking a statistician to join the Tropical Disease Epidemiology research group within the Centre for Health Informatics and Statistics (CHICAS, chicas.lancaster-university.uk) at the Lancaster University Medical School. You will work with Dr Emanuele Giorgi and Prof Peter Diggle on the development and application of spatial and spatio-temporal statistical methods for global public health applications. You will also contribute to several ongoing applied projects in collaboration with leading experts in the World Health Organization, Task Force for Global Health and other international health research institutes.
You should hold a PhD or equivalent qualification in statistics. You should also demonstrate a capacity for methodological research in geospatial statistical methods and their application to population health research.
You will join us on an indefinite contract however, the role remains contingent on external funding which, at this time is due to come to an end on 31 August 2023.
