RF modeller/economist to model broader socioeconomic benefits of vaccines vs Salmonellae e.g. equity, AMR reduction, with partners Wellcome, IVI, WHO.
We are recruiting a research fellow to bring forward an innovative programme of work investigating the broader societal and economic benefits of vaccines against typhoidal and non-typhoidal Salmonellae, such as future productivity, antimicrobial resistance reductions, improved equity and social protection. The work is funded by the Wellcome Trust, and will be done in close partnership with the International Vaccine Institute (IVI) and the World Health Organization.
The post-holder will have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree in a relevant topic alongside relevant experience in health economic, statistical and/ or mathematical modelling of health conditions, ideally infectious diseases. The ability to program in a suitable language, such as R (preferred), Python, C/C++ or Visual Basic is essential. Further particulars are included in the job description.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed-term until 02 May 2024 in the first instance, with the possibility for extension subject to funding.
