Research Assistant in Disease Ecology ( 2 year)

This post will be embedded in a lab whose focus is broadly understand the impact of global change (e.g., climate, land-use and demographic change) on biodiversity and human health.

This position will support research that predicts how global change processes will act to alter areas at risk of zoonotic diseases in the future. We will use geospatial and statistical modelling, at regional scales, to build digital tools to support decision makers in the public health arena, e.g. helping to target surveillance for diseases such as Lassa Fever. The postholder will support colleagues by collating data and developing data flows to other members of the project, as well as liaising with stakeholders, e.g., in Abuja, Nigeria - both remotely and, possibly, in person during site visits. The postholder will also assist with preparation of materials for publication and support colleagues with manuscript preparation. There will also be potential to aid with writing, editing and the peer review process.
