Research Assistant at LSHTM to support application of TIME TB modelling suite in LMIC
The LSHTM TIME team (www.timemodelling.com) is looking for an enthusiastic Research Assistant to join the team. We work on developing and implementing modelling tools to inform TB policy decisions in high burden settings, as well as building local capacity. Work will involve country engagement, as well as model implementation, contributing to model development. The post will be based at the LSHTM on Keppel Street in London, but international travel to one or more of our current partner countries (South Africa, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Viet Nam, Indonesia and Kazakhstan) is likely.
The ideal candidate must have an MSc in Epidemiology or similar MSc with a strong quantitative component, a high standard of verbal and written English and the ability to work flexibly in a policy environment. Experience in tuberculosis and/or mathematical modelling would be an advantage. Further particulars are included in the job description (https://jobs.lshtm.ac.uk/vacancy.aspx?ref=EPH-IDE-2018-16). Interested applicants are encouraged to contact the PI (Rein Houben) for informal enquiries at Rein.Houben@lshtm.ac.uk.
