Poultry production intensification and zoonotic disease risks in South/Southeast Asia
A research assistant or postdoctoral researcher position is available immediately at The Royal Veterinary College, London. The successful candidate will lead research within the UKRI GCRF One Health Poultry Hub (https://www.onehealthpoultry.org/), a multi-partner and inter-disciplinary project, aiming to improve our understanding of the impact of poultry production intensification on the emergence of zoonotic health hazards, including avian influenza viruses, antimicrobial resistance and foodborne pathogens. The post-holder will contribute to the design and implementation of field studies conducted in Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and in the analysis of the generated epidemiological data. Through this project, the post-holder will work collaboratively with international partners from academic and governmental institutions, and with varied disciplinary backgrounds. The position is funded up to March 2024.
