We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a strong track record or with great potential in infectious disease modelling and good computational skills to contribute to recently acquired projects in the mathematical modelling of infectious diseases at the Center for Statistics (CenStat), Data Science Institute, Hasselt University. The researcher will be part of the infectious disease modelling group of CenStat and work under supervision of Niel Hens (niel.hens@uhasselt.be).

The researcher will collaborate not only with colleagues within the institute but also with colleagues from other institutes, nationally as well as internationally in different projects including on pandemic preparedness.

The appointment should start as soon as possible in 2025 and last for 24 months though a longer appointment might be possible after positive evaluation and available funding.
