Postdoctoral or Research Assistant Position in epidemic modeling of COVID-19 in Switzerland

The Health Geography and Policy Group is looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a background in population biology, applied mathematics or data sciences. The research project will focus on comparisons of compartmental epidemic models with agent-based epidemic models. The successful candidates will also have the exciting opportunity to lead the groups’ activities on COVID-19. This includes the continued development of the platform, and the production of daily epidemic simulations of COVID-19 to inform authorities in Switzerland. The candidate will also bring his/her own research questions to develop in the broadly defined field of health geography.

This is a fixed term position for one year with a possible start date from June-September 2021. The position is based at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. The review of applications will start immediately and continue until a suitable candidate has been identified.
