Postdoctoral Fellow in Forecasting Influenza Evolution
The Rohani and Drake labs have a position available for a postdoctoral fellow, who will be based at the Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia. The position is aimed at using machine learning approaches in order to predict the antigenic evolution of seasonal influenza viruses. The position is part of a CDC-funded collaborative project with Dr Justin Bahl at the University of Georgia.
Basic Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates with excellent quantitative skills, including appropriate programming skills, preferably with some background in statistical learning algorithms, epidemiology or molecular systematics. The position is funded for two years, with the possibility of renewal. The salary will be in the range $50K-60K, depending on experience.
