The Mordecai lab at Stanford University has multiple NIH-funded postdoctoral positions available to study environmental drivers of vector-borne diseases. Project topics are flexible and include questions related to the impacts of climate change, species interactions, and land use change on zoonotic and vector-borne diseases. We use a variety of mathematical, statistical, and data science tools as well as experimental and genomic approaches to investigate the complex and nonlinear systems that encompass vector-borne diseases. The postdocs will have broad latitude to develop research projects in collaboration with the PI and lab members.

Candidates with strong quantitative skills and backgrounds in ecology, evolution, or infectious disease biology are especially encouraged to apply.
