Postdoc or Research assistant position on drug resistant Tuberculosis - international comparisons using statistical and mathematical modelling

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Research Assistant / Research Fellow to join an international consortium to develop a better evidence base for the control of tuberculosis (TB). In particular, the successful candidate will work on data analysis and modelling to better understand and hence tackle the spread of drug-resistant TB.

The post-holder will have a good quantitative background. Knowledge of mathematical modelling of infectious diseases and analytical data analysis in R are essential at Research Assistant level, along with a relevant first degree in in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, epidemiology or statistics. Relevant experience of quantitative public health research, covering application of statistical methods and mathematical modelling in R are essential at Research Fellow level, along with a postgraduate degree. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed term for 2 years with the possibility of extension to 4 years. The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust and is available from 01 October 2024.
