Position will be responsible for deriving and analyzing mathematical models of vector-borne disease transmission as part of a multi-university collaboration to develop ecological theory for zoonotic disease transmission. Position will liaise with collaborators at North Carolina A&T and the Cary Institute and will be responsible for integrating diverse perspectives of multiple research groups in the development of the new theoretical models. Position will be expected to use analytical and numerical methods to understand the equilibrium and transient behavior of the model, to draft both internal and external reports on the performed research, and to prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
