This is a postdoctoral position to work on a project on the zoonotic spillover of avian influenza in collaboration with the UK Health Security Agency and the Animal and Plant Health Agency. The position will be based in the infectious disease modelling group in Population Health Sciences and will work closely with the avian influenza team at UKHSA (Bristol) and APHA (Weybridge).

The project will be co-developing with policy makers research questions and methodologies to support our understanding of the risk of avian influenza to public health. A focus will be developing an online epidemiological survey of people in contact with birds and pigs, as well as epi modelling to optimise current public health strategies.
