Postdoc at Warwick developing statistical methodology to fit infectious disease models as part of the Neglected Tropical Diseases Modelling Consortium
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research fellow position to work on the project "Neglected Tropical Diseases Modelling Consortium: moving towards elimination".
The position is part of a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funded project to develop quantitative modelling and analyses to inform the design of intervention programs for seven neglected tropical diseases. The postholder will develop new statistical methodology to fit infectious disease models to incomplete data, especially when cases are observed increasingly rarely.
The postholder will become part of the world-renowned Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick and will work closely with the Neglected Tropical Diseases team within the Zeeman Institute as well as other groups within the Neglected Tropical Diseases Modelling Consortium. Informal enquiries can be addressed to Dr Simon Spencer (s.e.f.spencer@warwick.ac.uk).
