Postdoc at NCSU in modeling health-care associated infections and Covid-19
A postdoctoral research scholar position on infectious disease modeling is immediately available at Dr. Lanzas lab (North Carolina State University). The successful candidate will join a 5-year CDC-funded project in the area of infectious disease modeling of health-care associated infections with an interdisciplinary group of researchers with expertise in
infectious disease modeling, hospital epidemiology and clinics, applied mathematics, and genomics from North Carolina State University, Washington University School of Medicine, and University of Tennessee. The project involve the development of multi-scale models for the transmission and phylodynamics of multidrug resistant pathogens, as well as, modeling impacts of COVID-19 on healthcare settings and resources. The postdoctoral associate shall have a Ph.D. degree in a relevant quantitative discipline (ecology, epidemiology, engineering, applied mathematics, statistics and related fields) and have a deep interest in interdisciplinary collaboration, strong quantitative and programming skills, and good oral and writing skills are expected.
