Postdoc at LSHTM to lead BMGF/MRC-funded work modelling novel HPV vaccination strategies in LMICs to inform national/global policy.
We are recruiting a Research Fellow in Infectious Disease Modelling to join our growing team of vaccine modellers and economists. The postholder will lead development of epidemiological and economic models of novel strategies for human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination in low and middle-income settings. The post is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the UK’s Medical Research Council. It involves close working with top HPV modellers and epidemiologists around the world, as well as country partners in the Gambia, Vietnam and other places. Results from the work will be presented to BMGF, WHO and national decision makers, and hence are likely to have an important impact on global health.
The post is available until Feb 2020 initially, but we are in the process of finalising a contract extension to Sept 2021 which is likely to be in place by the time the postholder starts.
