Post-doctoral and research scientist positions available at the Center for Applied Pathogen Genomics and Outbreak Control (CAPE), UGA
Join us at the Center for Applied Pathogen Genomic Epidemiology and Outbreak Response (CAPE) for exciting post-doctoral and research scientist opportunities focused on respiratory viruses. We are poised to embark on groundbreaking endeavors, generously funded by the NIH, CDC, and NSF. If you hold a PhD in evolutionary biology, infectious disease epidemiology, mathematical modeling, or a related quantitative field, we'd love to hear from you! We're looking for individuals who thrive independently, can guide PhD students, are comfortable with programming languages and are familiar with comparative genomic methods. Our lab is all about collaboration, and we're always working on multiple exciting projects simultaneously. Being a team player who can contribute to project development is a key asset. Research scientists hold additional duties of teaching with the School of Public Health and consulting with the Deans Office. These individuals will have additional opportunities to develop independent research programs and mentorship to support the career transitions to faculty.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of something extraordinary. Join us at CAPE, where every day promises new challenges and a chance to make a lasting impact in the world of infectious diseases.
