This is a senior permanent post in the Statistics, Modelling and Economics Division (SMED) at UKHSA, working with myself and Andre Charlett (Deputy Director of SMED), and with experienced, highly-skilled modellers both in SMED and other parts of UKHSA, and with academics in world-leading universities - including the NIHR Health Protection Research Units in Behavioural Science & Evaluations (led by Bristol University), Immunisation (led by LSHTM), and Modelling & Health Economics (led by Imperial College).

The post-holder will join a dynamic and enthusistic team with decades of experience of using cutting-edge science to inform public health decision-making. The work directly informs policy and practice in the UK, and is often influential internationally.
