Open rank position available for a computational biologist at Texas Biomed. We are open to anyone who's research has a major computational component.
We are after someone who would be excited by the unique resources at Texas Biomed. We have fantastic non-human primate resources, including pedigreed baboon, macaque and marmoset colonies and BSL-4 containment facilities with a strong emphasis on experimental Ebola infections (and other exotic viruses). In addition we have strong programs in TB, HIV, schistosomiasis and malaria supported by great genomic and computational facilities.
We are open to anyone who's research has a major computational component, including evolution, statistical and quantitative genetics, population genetics, systems biology, and mathematical modelling. Someone who has a focus on infectious disease research would be a major plus.
If you know of a talented computational biologist who would be excited by a move to Texas --San Antonio is a rapidly growing vibrant city with affordable housing -- please send them the link and encourage them to apply.
