Mathematical/computer modeller of infectious disease dynamics? Heard of schistosomiasis? Want to be an assistant prof at LSHTM? Now is your chance!
The Department of Global Heath and Development at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor to work as a mathematical modeller with Professor Graham Medley and the NTD Modelling consortium (https://www.ntdmodelling.org).
The successful applicant will develop and use mathematical and computational models of schistosomiasis to support the activities of the consortium. The models will include both age-space-time transmission dynamic frameworks and with an emphasis on fitting to available data and producing results of direct relevance to national and international policy. Models will be both deterministic and stochastic. Developing collaborative relationships with other NTD researchers is essential.
Applicants should have a PhD in a mathematical or computational discipline, ideally mathematical or statistical modelling of biological systems, and should have published scientific journals, in the area of infectious disease epidemiology, ideally schistosomiasis or other neglected tropical diseases or equivalent experience.
