Manage, coordinate and serve as an alliance manager of complex programs with TB Vaccines space.

Your Role
As the Senior Program Officer, TB Vaccines, you will report to the Deputy Director, TB vaccines and able to work in a hybrid remote work arrangement from either our Seattle, WA or Washington DC office. You should be a creative, thoughtful, and curious leader that identifies as a problem solver, trusted business partner, mentor, and subject matter expert for respective technical expertise in infectious disease product development, with primary emphasis on mid- to late-stage clinical development of products being developed primarily for use in lower- and middle-income countries. You will manage, coordinate and serve as an alliance manager of complex programs that are highly visible to and involve important partners across diverse subject areas and bridge a wide range of expertise with agility, efficiency, and diplomacy in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do
• Work with funding partners to develop new initiatives and calls for proposals to accelerate and support TB vaccine development and implementation
• Serve as an Alliance Manager with key external partners
• Serve as a thought partner to the TB Vaccine team on vaccine development challenges, relationship management and product development planning
• Use product development experience, tools and project management skills to enable and encourage effective initiative project planning and tracking
• Effectively manage relationships with key internal partners within the matrixed organization
• Provide project management/alliance management support to product development partnerships and programs with other funders
• Where relevant, manage investments with a predominant product development focus
• Proactively identify areas of misalignment and lead the process of developing plans to ‘get back on track’

Your Experience
• 8+ years of professional experience in the not-for-profit or for-profit biotech or pharmaceutical industries
• 5+ years of senior level alliance or complex partnership management
• 5+ years of infectious disease (tuberculosis and/or vaccine, preferred) clinical development project management or clinical development team leadership experience preferred. Likely candidate profiles include Vaccine Development Leader, Clinical Team Leader, Director of Project Management, etc.
• PhD and/or MD (preferred) or Masters in one of the Life Sciences, or proven experience/advanced degree.
• Alliance management, project management, implementation planning and associated tools
• Solid understanding and / or specific knowledge of several elements of product development and launch (e.g., clinical development, commercial launch)
