Join the forefront of infectious disease research and make a global impact as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow or Research Fellow within the newly established Epidemic Modelling, Mathematical Analysis and Statistics Lab (Emmas Lab) at the University of Queensland. This role brings a unique opportunity to drive cutting-edge quantitative analysis within a collaborative team, working closely with UQ's Operational Research and Decision Support for Prevention, Control and Elimination of Infectious Diseases (ODeSI) team, renowned for its expertise in infectious disease prevention, control, and elimination.
EmmaS Lab is part of an extensive network, including collaborations with top institutions like Oxford University and Mahidol University, and engagement with national and international policymakers. You'll contribute to high-impact projects supported by two NHMRC centres for Research Excellence, focusing on tuberculosis and disease forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and apply advanced quantitative models for infectious disease research
Lead and co-author high-quality research publications
Collaborate on multi-institutional research projects and contribute to funding applications
Mentor and supervise emerging researchers and students
