Junior Research Scientist with Master’s degree in statistics, biology, environmental sciences or related field

The Biostatistics Unit of Swiss TPH invites applications for a

Junior Research Scientist

to contribute to different projects that involve compilation and analysis of georeferenced, health and environmental data. The successful applicant will work within a team that pursues research on Bayesian statistical methods and computation, applied in the areas of infectious disease and environmental epidemiology. The position is based in Basel, Switzerland. It is open immediately and it will be supported initially for 3 years.

Required qualifications are:
• Master’s degree in statistics, biology, environmental sciences or a related field.
• Statistical modelling skills
• Expertise in R programming
• Excellent oral and written knowledge of English is paramount
