individual-based modeling in malaria drug resistance
We are looking for a research assistants, postdocs, and software developers to help us develop and evaluate strategies for containing antimalarial drug resistance. Candidates will get hands-on experience in making computational advances in an individual-based epidemiological microsimulation that we use to generate long-term forecasts for drug-resistance evolution in malaria. Projects will include analysis of general resistance management strategies as well as specific scenarios for countries or regions. This is part of a Gates-funded project on drug-resistance control and malaria elimination. Priorities are typically set by WHO working groups and committees.
