Health Scientist (Informatics) - Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses
This posting is a for a bioinformatics position within the Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Lab Branch. Duties may include improving existing or developing new models to understand and project growth and decline of respiratory virus clades, advising on sampling strategies, and contributing to molecular epidemiology projects. As a Health Scientist (Informatics), you will:
Perform a variety of scientific activities and analyses related to health care informatics in various public health program areas.
Provide expert scientific advice, consultation and leadership in designing, coordinating and maintaining public health informatics project goals, objectives and priorities.
Manage projects involved with public health informatics and serve as a subject matter expert in the design and implementation of IT systems integrating epidemiologic and other information from a scientific perspective.
Design, oversee, implement, and conduct scientific surveys/studies or projects to identify and solve health system related problems.
Serve as a Project Officer on grants, cooperative agreements and contracts with full responsibility for carrying out all required monitoring and management duties.
Serve as technical consultant on contracts for scientific services.
