We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Research Associate Epidemiological Modeller to join an interdisciplinary international team of scientists working to work on modelling a wide range of projects. The post will be based in the Population Ecology Group within the UKCEH Biodiversity Science Area that has eighteen full time staff and numerous affiliated PhD students. Research within the group address global challenges of the evolving burden of infectious diseases as well as invasive species threatening humans, animals, plants and ecosystems under environmental change.
Initially, the post holder will lead the development of agent-based models to predict the risk of current and future tick-borne zoonotic pathogens in the UK, incorporating wide-ranging ecological, social and environmental processes affecting health outcomes and working within a large inter-disciplinary project team (TickSolve).
