Conduct research, write/present articles on research, and assist with collaborative projects and CEID initiated research proposals

The Center for the Ecology of Infectious Diseases
(CEID) at UGA is accepting applications for a
postdoctoral position focused on the data science, artificial
intelligence, modeling and infectious disease dynamics, with
a start date of January 2, 2024 or soon after.

Established in 2016, The CEID is a hub of
interdisciplinary research on the ecology and evolution of
infectious diseases of humans and animals. The CEID
Postdoctoral Scholar will have the opportunity to
collaborate with scientists from the Odum School of
Ecology, College of Veterinary Medicine, College of
Public Health, College of Agriculture and
Environmental Sciences and the Warnell School of Forestry
& Natural Resources. Postdoctoral Scholars are scientists-in-
residence working on projects of their own design.

opportunity to participate in Center activities including
workshops, seminars, collaborative projects and
working groups (current working groups focused on
behavior, disease mapping, macroparasites, and disease
forecasting).

Candidates with strong quantitative skills and a
background in ecology, evolution, or infectious disease
biology are especially encouraged to apply. US and
international citizens are eligible, and individuals not
currently affiliated with UGA are encouraged to apply.
