@ceid_uga is hiring a project and communications manager to coordinate research and communications efforts related to our work on COVID-19.
The Center for the Ecology of Infectious Diseases (CEID) seeks a project manager who will coordinate the efforts of approximately 25 student, staff, postdoc, and faculty researchers engaged in projects related to the COVID-19 outbreak. This position will help coordinate efforts among the Coronavirus Working Group, ensuring researcher time is spent in the most efficient ways possible, and will help communicate among team members and to external stakeholders. The selected candidate will coordinate with researchers engaged in mapping the spatial spread of the outbreak, modeling transmission, assessing the effectiveness of public health interventions, and more. This position will also coordinate the dissemination of research results via web and print media, and will coordinate media requests. Candidates should feel comfortable discussing academic research among colleagues and other academic organizations, as well as distilling the key information of interest to lay audiences. This position is tied to the current COVID-19 outbreak and associated funding.
