The required service is to deliver expertise in mathematical modelling and economic evaluation to ECDC and its stakeholders. The purpose of such is work is:
a) To support policy-making through the evaluation of disease dynamics and burden and through the assessment of the potential impact of public health interventions
b) To develop understanding through the use of inference methods to interpret epidemiological and associated data sources
c) To support preparedness and response activities by forecasting the evolution of threats and providing impact assessments for strategic response.
