Associate Professor / Professor in Infectious Disease Modelling

The role
We are seeking to recruit a new Associate Professor or Professor with growing international reputation for research in infectious disease modelling. You will be based at Population Health Sciences (PHS) in the University of Bristol Medical School (BRMS) but will be supported and encouraged to collaborate both with colleagues within PHS and BRMS and with other schools in Faculty of Health Sciences (Veterinary and Dental Schools) and other Faculties (including Engineering and Maths).

What will you be doing?
This is core-post at Associate Professor or Professor level. You will have a national and growing international reputation for research excellence in infectious disease modelling. You will be encouraged to develop your own research programme and collaborate with other research scientists at the University of Bristol with an interest in infectious diseases. You will join an active and growing group of infectious disease mathematical and economic modellers and epidemiologists at UoB. Current research in infectious diseases within UoB ranges from development of modelling tools through to highly policy relevant applications including the evaluation of interventions for a wide range of infectious diseases including respiratory infections such as COVID-19, vaccine preventable infections, viral hepatitis, HIV and Sexually Transmitted Infections, zoonotic infections, climate and health. Our modelling influences policy at the national and international level.

You will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and provide academic leadership for your discipline.
