The Laboratory of Applied Evolutionary Biology, Department of Medical Microbiology, Academic Medical Center (AMC), University of Amsterdam invites applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor level position in bacterial evolution. Level of appointment will depend on qualifications. The position can be taken up immediately.

The Laboratory of Applied Evolutionary Biology (LAEB) is a recent initiative within the Department of Medical Microbiology of the AMC that focuses on using computational tools and approaches from evolutionary biology to synthesize the increasing wealth of pathogen data collected at AMC as well as nationally and internationally. The LAEB collaborates closely with experimental and clinical researchers throughout the Department of Medical Microbiology and AMC. As part of the growth of the Laboratory, we are seeking a colleague to lead our work in bacterial evolution, host-pathogen interaction, and antimicrobial resistance.
