We are seeking an experienced researcher in spatial epidemiology and/or data science to develop and deliver a research portfolio that supports outbreak response for the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (UK-PHRST).

The post involves leading analysis of epidemiological, behavioural, demographic and environmental spatial datasets to develop and evaluate methods that improve outbreak preparedness, such as integrating data into Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and risk mapping/predictive spatial modelling. It will involve close working with multi-disciplinary teams in the UK-PHRST and in Low-and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) to improve outbreak detection and response. The post-holder will also support the development of outbreak response teams in programme eligible countries to ensure effective preparedness and response for future epidemics/pandemics.
