Analyses of patient referral networks from different European countries that could explain the expansion of drug-resistant bacterial clones

We study the epidemic spread of antibiotic resistant bacteria at international and European level. The current project shall provide a better understanding of the routes and drivers of the epidemic expansion of extremely drug-resistant (XDR) bacteria through health care networks. The project analyses data on patient movements from several European countries in order to examine national patient referral networks.
