The first iteration of IA2030 vaccine impact estimates (number of future deaths averted due to immunization from 2021-2030) have been generated for Impact Goal indicator 1.1 of IA2030 Monitoring & Evaluation framework. There is an ongoing effort to validate the estimates and expand the scope of work to fully capture the impact of vaccination in the coming decade. WHO IVB & DDI are looking for an individual consultant to provide technical support for the second phase of IA2030 vaccine impact estimates.

Work to be performed
Objective 1: Provide technical support for the Phase 2 validation and scoping exercises for IA2030 vaccine
impact estimates
Output 1.1: Write-up of the systematic literature review of vaccine impact estimates for 14
pathogens in high income countries (HIC validation exercise)
Output 1.2: Preparation of datasets containing outputs from the studies to be used for validation (HIC
validation exercise)
Output 1.3. Final report on systematic review/literature search results to identify existing models for
remaining pathogens (list TBC) (scoping exercise)

Characteristics of a provider
Qualifications required:
o Master’s degree in [epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, data science, etc.]
Experience required:
o Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
o Experience of conducting systematic literature reviews
o Experience of working in the field of immunization and vaccine-preventable diseases
desired
Essential Skills / Technical skills and knowledge:
o Highly organized and strong project management skills
o Ability to prioritize and work under pressure and to deadlines
o Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
Language requirements:
o English – Read/Write/Speak at advanced level
