A postdoctoral position is open to work on complex networks under the supervision of Alain Barrat in Marseille, France.

A postdoctoral position is open to work on complex networks under the supervision of Alain Barrat at the Centre de Physique Théorique in Marseille, France.
The work will take place within the ANR-funded project, that focuses on developing new methods for the reduction of the complexity of large networked datasets to feed effective and realistic data-driven models of spreading phenomena. The DataRedux project involves 3 partners: the Centre de Physique Théorique in Marseilles, the Physics lab at the ENS Lyon (Marton Karsai, Paulo Gonçalves), and the EPIcx lab in Paris (PI: Vittoria Colizza).
The work will involve (for instance) the development of new tools for the analysis of complex networked data and for the extraction of relevant structures, the study of processes on (temporal) networks and hypergraphs, the definition and study of models of temporal networks, etc.

We are looking for a young researcher with a background in statistical physics and expertise in network science, from network data analysis to numerical simulations of processes on networks.
Position duration: 1+1 year
Position starting date: to be discussed (end 2021 - beginning 2022)
