The PhD proposal proposes to address the challenges of quantitatively modeling the response to vaccination due to imperfect knowledge of biological mechanisms and uncertainties in measurements. It proposes to devellop a latent variable model to bridge the gap between mechanistic modeling and high-dimensional data. The application will focus on mechanistic models for B-cell responses to vaccination and transciptomics using data from previous projects on Ebola and SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. Data are already available from European projects PREVAC-UP and CARE.
