3-month research fellow post mathematical modelling/Epi @SurreyVet, Zootrip project supporting #NTD control #OneHealth
An exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow with a background in mathematical modelling / epidemiology has become available at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Surrey.
The post holder will be working with Dr Joaquin Prada and colleagues on the MRC-Newton funded ZooTRIP (Zoonotic Transmission of Intestinal Parasites) project, a collaboration between University of Surrey, University of the Philippines Los BaƱos (UPLB) and University of Philippines Manila. This multidisciplinary project aims to understand the contribution of zoonotic transmission to the burden of human intestinal worm infection in the Philippines and determine the most appropriate strategies for intestinal worm control. As intestinal worm infections are highly prevalent in humans worldwide, this project has potential to deliver significant public health impacts.
The role is full-time and will run for three months until 30th September 2021.
