2.5 years Research Associate in spatio-temporal sampling design for mosquito surveillance.
We have an exciting opportunity to work in two international and high impact projects: ‘Controlling emergent Anopheles stephensi in Ethiopia and Sudan (CEASE)’, funded by NIHR–Wellcome Partnership for Global Health Research Collaborative Award, and ‘Equipping countries for evidence-based malaria intervention strategies’ funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation through Malaria Elimination Initiative/University of California San Francisco. The projects aim to develop and implement spatio-temporal sampling designs for optimal surveillance and control of malaria transmission in Africa from invasive and autochthonous mosquitoes.
The job involves travel in US, Europe and Africa to meet project and National Malaria Control Programme partners.
