Research Assistant in high-throughput sequencing of HBV

We are seeking a Research Assistant in high-throughput sequencing of
HBV. The post will be based at the Nuffield Department of Medicine at
the Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen Research at Oxford University.

As the research assistant, you will be responsible for the administrative
support of the project, processing blood samples, DNA extraction,
performing ELISA assays, using FACS machine, library preparation for
NGS sequencing and overall responsibility for smooth running of the
laboratory.

You will hold an MSc in a relevant discipline or BSc with substantial
relevant experience. You will have strong experience in relevant
laboratory practices, strong IT skills, evidence of ability to work
independently and in a team, excellent communication skills and a keen
interest in virology and biomedical sciences.

The post is full-time and fixed-term for up to 12 months in the first
instance.
