We are looking for an experienced infectious disease epidemiologist / mathematical modeller to strengthen the existing partnership between the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Nagasaki University. The post-holder will conduct research in epidemic analysis and response, with particular focus on the role of vaccination in outbreak control. The post-holder will provide epidemiological/modelling expertise for NU, including training for students and research staff. There is considerable scope to develop an independent research agenda within the broad area of outbreaks preparedness and response. The post-holder is expected to help supervise two PhD scholarship students and the wider team based at LSHTM and NU.
