How do we make the best decisions when a new tree pest or disease is detected?

This NERC CENTA CASE studentship in partnership with Defra will develop adaptive strategies for tree health outbreaks, helping improve delimitation, eradication and containment responses.

The project combines epidemiological modelling, optimisation and decision-support tools to address real-world plant health challenges with direct policy relevance. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates interested in mathematical modelling, data science, ecology, epidemiology and plant health.
