Mosquito-borne disease dynamics and transmission control strategies in Brazil through data-driven mathematical and statistical analyses.

This project aims to advance understanding of infectious disease dynamics, with a particular focus on mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue and malaria. It will also include a component dedicated to evaluating and improving strategies for transmission control.

The work will involve analyzing surveillance data on diseases from Brazil and, likely, from other countries. Studies within the project scope will typically include mathematical and statistical approaches to better describe the dynamics of these diseases. Strategies to be analysed might consider vaccination and/or vector control, as well as climate factors that impact the transmission of these diseases.
